Beloved daughter of Seraphim and Eleanora (Schuckardt) Meyer.
Amelia was the product of public schools in Canton, Ohio, where she was graduated from Normal School. After teaching in the public schools, she applied for entrance to the School Sisters of Notre Dame in Milwaukee. Amelia received the Candidate's bonnet in May 1856, and was received into the Novitiate on August 4, 1857.
For ten years Sister Gregoria taught in Belleville, Illinois, then was missioned to Baltimore. Poor health forced her return to Milwaukee. For 35 years Sister Gregoria served as Novice Directress for the Milwaukee Province.
Her last years were filled with suffering. Sister Gregoria died at the Motherhouse in Milwaukee.
