Loren and Opal traveled and lived in Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas, Oregon and California. They owned and operated restaurants in the 1940s and 1950s in Ottawa, KS; Edinburg, TX; and Pharr, TX. From 1957 to 1969 they managed mobile home parks in southern Calif. Opal suffered a stroke in 1967. They moved from CA to Wichita, KS, in 1969,
After Loren's death in 1974, Opal remained in Wichita until 1975 when she moved to Torrance, CA, to live with her daughter and son-in-law.
Loren was a member of the Masonic Order and maintained membership in Harmony Lodge, Ottawa, KS, for over 30 years.
Pop as known to his grandchildren loved playing the harmonica and playing tricks on his wife.
Pop also was a good mechanic and could tell what was wrong with a car just by listening to it. He also loved to whitlle.
