Last Rites Held for James Ackart
Services for James Ackart, 38, a former Avoca resident, were held Monday afternoon, June 3, at the Berthusen Funeral Home.
Mr. Ackart was born in Avoca on February 13, 1925, and died quite suddenly at Glenwood on Saturday, June 1.
The oldest of nine children, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Ackart; five sisters, Arlene Landon and Karen Parker of Des Moines, Betty Parham of Rock Rapids, Dorothy Mikkelsen of Harlan, and Mary Boeck of Shelby. Three brothers, Francis of Waterloo, Harold of Neola and Levi of Greene. Also three uncles and twenty-eight nephews and nieces.
