She died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was a retired administrative secretary from Indiana University Southeast.
She worked there for 21 years. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church, Indiana Campus.
Survivors include her daughter, Dava Sue Haire and her husband, Arthur, of Jeffersonville; grandson, Stephen Haire of Jeffersonville; grandson, Dirk Haire and his wife, Kara, of Annapolis, Md.; great-grandchildren, Bailey and Connor Haire of Annapolis, Md.; brother, Jack Taylor of Frankfort; brother-in-law, Norman Schelhorn and his wife, Barbara, of Chicago; and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She loved them all and faithfully prayed for them.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, David Schelhorn; and her parents, John and Minnie Ann Taylor of Evansville.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6.The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Southeast Christian Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
