GRAND COULEE, Wash., Nov. 7 – Funeral services for Hannah E. Adair, 88, who died October 31, were held Thursday at the Grand Coulee Community church.
Born on January 20, 1862, in Meadville, Pa., Mrs. Adair moved west at the age of 4 with her parents to the frontier Kansas territory. In April 1879, she was married to George W. Adair of Dodge City, Kansas.
In 1910, they settled in the Grand Coulee area where they were engaged in farming and cattle raising. In 1936, Mr. Adair died, and Mrs. Adair made her home with a daughter in Omak.
Survivors include a son, Robert, of DeQueen, Ark.; two daughters, Mrs. Maude Gray of Omak and Mrs. Mabel Sanford of Grand Coulee; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Interment was in the Almira cemetery.
