Mrs. Estella Berry
Funeral services for Mrs. Estella Ann Berry, 78, a resident of the Bel-Wood Nursing Home, who died there at 2:55 p.m. Tuesday, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of the South Side Mission.
The Rev. Bertram Betteridge of Bethel Presbyterian Church will officiate and burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
Friends may call at the Endsley & Son Funeral Home, 1417 S. Stanley St. from 4 to 9 p.m. today.
Mrs. Berry formerly resided on Krause avenue. She was born in Peoria Feb. 19, 1887, a daughter of David and Alvina Abbott Moore, and was married to Charles Berry in Peoria Dec. 10, 1904. She was a member of the South Side Mission and the Gleaners Club there and of the Dorcas Club at Neighborhood House, where she was quite active.
Surviving are her husband, also a resident of the nursing home; four sons, Jesse Berry of Spring Bay, Carl Berry and Edward Berry, both of Peoria, and Alfred Berry of Pekin; one daughter, Mrs. Edina Scott of Washington; one sister, Mrs. Hazel Flenniken of Pass Christian, Miss,; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Two sons, one daughter, one brother and one sister preceded her in death.
