DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT
“B. F. Farwell died at his home in this town on Monday, July 20th. He was born in Poultney Oct. 1, 1816. He had been in failing health for sometime past, so that his death was not unexpected. He married a daughter of William Ward, by whom he had seven children, three of whom with his wife survive him, Mrs. David Williams, of Plattsburgh ; George, who recently returned from South America, and Mrs. M. J. Osteyee, of North Creek, all of whom were with their father in his last illness. Mr. Farwell was a highly respected citizen and a member of the Raceville Methodist church. He was also a member of Morning Star Lodge, F. and A. M., Poultney, having united with that lodge over 25 years ago. His funeral, in charge of Undertaker Monroe, was held on Wednesday morning from his residence, Rev. Dr. Starks officiating, after which his remains were taken charge of by Morning Star Lodge, who consigned them to the grave, W. M., J. D. Tay conducting the ceremonies of this order. The bearers were members of the lodge.”
