Mary E.(Veitch) Leaman, age 77 of Canton
went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Aultman Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Canton, Ohio, on February 27, 1931 to the late George and Grace (Keagy) Veitch. She was a graduate of Timken High School. Mary was a retired realtor with Mott's Realty Company. She was a member of Mohawk Trail Garden Club, Lake Mohawk Golf Club and Ski Club, Red Hat Society and St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church. In 2005, Mary was awarded Life Membership in the Garden Club of Ohio. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Steve Leaman. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Leo J. Leaman of the home, a daughter, Susan (John) Marchi of North Canton, OH; five grandchildren, Mike (Melissa) Previtera of St. Louis, MO, Katie and Elise Previtera, both of North Canton, Tiffany Marchi of Canton, Tom Marchi of Great Lakes Naval Base, Chicago, IL.
