An employee of Southwestern Telephone Co., she was killed in an automobile accident while returning home following the wedding of her sister, Viola, who married Alonzo Harley of Walters. Two wheels of the car slipped off the paved road, and the car overturned, breaking her neck. Several other people in the car were injured.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Watkins of Temple. She was survived by her parents, three brothers, Alva, Haskell, and Roy; and three sisters, Pearl, Cleo, and Mrs. Viola Harley.
She had made her home for the past year and a half with Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Waldron of Waurika.
