Dorothy V. Boitnott, 89, of the 3700 block of East 31st Street died of a respiratory ailment Sunday at Mercy Capitol Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Boitnott was born in Bear Grove and had lived in the Des Moines area most of her life. She was a retired warehouse clerk with Younkers. She was a member of Evangel Chapel Foursquare Church and enjoyed crocheting and cooking.
She is survived by a brother, George Davis of Spokane, Wash.; and two sisters, Hazel Young and Fayrene Ellenwood, both of Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her husband, William B.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
