John Herkimers second wife, Sarah Tenley, was born @1808, (some 9 years after the birth of his youngest daughter by his first wife), probably near Washington, D.C. Their marriage, in 1825, occurred shortly after the conclusion of Johns term in Congress. After Johns death, Sarah resided in Town of Danube with her son-in-law, Isaac Vincent. About 1880, she removed to Newark, NJ with that family.
