Domingo T. Castillo, 56, died Saturday, November 7, 2009 in the University of Michigan Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born May 5, 1953 in Croswell, MI. He married Marilyn S. Matthews on August 15, 1986 in Port Huron.

Domingo served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Apostolic Church of Port Huron for 12 years and was studying to be a pastor. He started the A.C.T.S. (Alcohol Chemical Treatment Series) program in Port Huron at the Huron House. He was currently working as a bus driver for Blue Water Area Transit for the past few years.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn S. Castillo; daughters, Shelby and Jodi; father, Ascencion Castillo Sr; siblings, Ascension Castillo Jr, Paublo Castillo, Linda Castillo, Erasmo Castillo, Mary Lou (Dan) Weber, Martha VanHoorne, Jessie Castillo, Joe Castillo, Chris Castillo, Norma (Tony) Pakulski and Debbie (Kevin) Miller; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Marge (Stan) Bayes; sisters-in-law, Marge (Dan) MacLean, Peggy (John) Pickelhaupt and Donna (David) Maxwell.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Raquel Castillo; brother, Rudy and sister, Mary Blanche.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Pastor Bobby D. Bishop will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Visiting hours are 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
