Mary Lou Fajen, 69, passed away Monday morning, November 9, 2009 at her home.

The daughter of Marcella (Gibson) and John Monroe Gordon, she was born December 13, 1939 in Doniphan, Missouri. The Gordon family moved to Texas and made their home at the Sherhan Plant in Hansford County. Mary Lou attended Gruver, Texas schools and graduated from Gruver with the Class of 1957 and then attended West Texas College in Canyon, Texas. She was married to Max Keenan in August 1958 and they had four children, JoKaren, Casey, Martin and Clayton.

Mary Lou worked for many years at the Texas County Court Clerk office. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed cross-stitch. She was married to Don Fajen on February 10, 1996. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a breast cancer survivor.

Survivors include her husband, Don Fajen, Guymon; daughter, JoKaren Wester, Guymon; three sons, Casey Max Keenan and wife, Tammie, Guymon; Martin Wade Keenan and wife, Amber of Arizona and Clayton Heath Keenan and wife, Tandy of Waynoka, OK; sister, JoAnn and husband, Stan Lamendola of Prairieville, LA; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Wester and wife, Lindsay, Jared Wester, Holly and Brooke Keenan, Michael Wallinger, Matracia and Katie Keenan; two great grandchildren, Emma and Emily Wester; niece, Andre and husband, Mark Hill; nephew, Stanley Lamendola and a great niece, Londyn Hill.

Mary Lou is also survived by Nancy and Doug Dale, Janet Fajen, Robert and Kim Fajen, all of Guymon; Liz and Stan Van Nort of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren, Jennifer and Darrell Ely, Kaela, Danielle and Tony Collins, Morgan and Clifton Butler, Jordon Fajen, David and Amy Dale, and great granddaughter, Hayden Butler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John M. Gordon and Marcella G. Gordon, and a great nephew, Derrik Hill.

Graveside services will be Thursday morning, November 12th at 10:00 AM at Elmhurst Cemetery, Guymon. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church, 310 NW 7th St, Guymon, with Rev. Deborah Hollifield, pastor, officiating. Services are under the care of Henson-Novak Funeral Directors.

Memorials may be given in lieu of floral gifts to the American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell, Amarillo, TX 79109.
