Helen Holmes Bennett, 77, of Washington DC, formerly of Susquehanna Ave, West Pittston, died Sunday in Washington following an illness.
She was born Aug 29, 1895, in West Pittston, was a graduate of Wyoming Seminary and resided in Washington since 1946. She was a former member of First United Methodist Church of West Pittston.
Surviving are a son, Edward F Bennett, 3rd, Falls Church, Va; brother, John R Holmes, Hillsborough, Calif; two grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday at 3 pm in Pittston Cemetery with Rev Arthur H Salin officiating. Arrangements by Harold C Snowdon.
