Mrs. Eunice Allen Of Hillsboro Dies; Rites Held Today
Services for Mrs. Eunice May Allen, 76, of Hillsboro were held this afternoon (Thursday) in the Bass funeral home. Rev. Robert Edwards officiated and interment was in Bluff cemetery.
Mrs. Allen died at her home at 1:05 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. She was born in Hillsboro on Oct. 23, 1894, a daughter of Albert S. and Alma E. Rowe Roberts. She was reared in Hillsboro but lived most of her life in St. Louis and LaMesa, Calif., returning to Hillsboro in 1965.
She was married three times, to Charles Harrison Lyle, Edward-Zulley and Dr. Willis Allen, all of whom have preceded her in death.
Surviving are a brother, Dr. John Roberts of Brentwood, Mo. and three sisters, Miss Mary Roberts of Hillsboro, Mrs. Marie Brown and Mrs. Martha Hefley both of Belleville.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, John [Lester], Leo, Carl and Roland Roberts.
Mrs. Allen was a member of the United Methodist church.
