Son of Thomas Mifflin Hall and Mary Anna Bringhhurst.

First married to Mary Margaret Garrett Hall (May 20, 1805-June 4, 1830).

Second marriage was to Mary Mitchell Keppelle Hall (February 28, 1805-October 14, 1855). She was the daughter of former Philadelphia Mayor Michael Keppelle.
