"Loving wife, mother and grandmother, Hannah Pearl Southwick Alston, passed away at home in Salt Lake City, May 26, 1994 at the age of 93.

Born April 29, 1901, Lehi, Utah to Edward and Rachel Ann Webb Southwick. Attended school in Lehi, Utah State University and Brigham Young University. Married Ray Lester Alston, May 24, 1928 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Always faithful and active in the LDS Church. Served in the Eastern States Mission and also with her husband in the Texas Mission. Held many church callings. Enjoyed quilting, knitting and crocheting all her life. Member of DUP and Alice Louise Reynolds Literary Club. Taught school in Lehi and had various other employment positions. She was always fun and vibrant.

Survived by husband of 66 years; three daughters, ...; son, ...; a brother Glen Southwick, Orem; and sister, Emma DeSpain, Lehi; 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday, May 31, 1994 at 12 noon in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive where friends may visit Monday, May 30 from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park."
