Ruth Holmes was born to Lucy Smith Holmes and Jack J. Holmes in Madison County Arkansas on April 26, 1928. She married William Harper Crebs on July 30, 1949 in Newton, Kansas. Her parents, brothers Kenzel Holmes,Edwin Keith Holmes, sister Delores Talbott preceded her in death. She is survived by her children Linda Werries, Ruth Cornejo, and William Harper Crebs II, sister Helen "Susie" Cully, grandchildren: Darin Werries, Amy Douglass, Samual Rose, David Rose, William "Billy" Harper Crebs III, Jeffery Crebs and Marcus Crebs, and 3 greatgrandchildren. Ruth was retired from Furr's Cafeteria and had worked in several other restaurants over the years. She was a member of the Westview Baptist Church and helped with meal preparation for the minister's family every week up until shortly before she passed away. She loved to go out with friends to eat out and shop. She's missed by her friends and family.
