Norene Vanhoose Bice, 95, passed away Jan. 24, 2009 at Barstow Community Hospital. Mrs. Bice was born in Eagletown, Okla., on March 24, 1913. She was a resident of Barstow for 66 years and worked at the Marine Base for over 20 years.
She is survived by daughters, Sue C. McNabb and Donna V. Stewart; granddaughters, Norene Brock and Karen Pearson.
Mrs. Bice is preceded in death by her parents, Obed and Hattie Vanhoose; daughter, Arlie J. Vuiller; and son, Utah Bice.
Mrs. Norene V. Bice is a long time member of a large and loving family. She will not be missed, she will always be with us.
