Mr. Grover Gerald Cochran, 63 years of Seneca, Missouri departed this life on Sunday morning, August 2, 2009 at his home following a brief illness.

Grover entered this life on September 13, 1945 in Hammond, Indiana son of the late Karl and Joan (Woodson) Cochran. He was raised in Gary, Indiana and was a 1963 graduate of Calumet High School in Highland, Indiana. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army, retiring in 1991 with several commendations. For the last eighteen years he has resided in rural McDonald County near Seneca, Missouri. He was currently employed by Boarder Town Casino in Seneca as an IT Technician. He was current president and founding member of the Widows Sons Raised From The Grave Chapter Masonic Motorcycle Association, a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason with the Joplin AASR, member and Past Master of the Anderson Masonic Lodge #621, DeMolay Advisor with the SWMO DeMolay Chapter and a member of the Neosho York Rite. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding, electronics and working with his hands.

His parents; and a brother, Dale Cochran preceded him in death.

On June 14, 1971 at the Swars Prairie Church of Christ near Seneca, Missouri he was united in marriage to Bertha Louise (Hartzler) Cochran and she survives of the home. Additional survivors include two sons, Keith Cochran of Plainsville, Illinois and Karl Cochran and wife, Kristi, of Seneca, Missouri; a daughter, Tracy Warner of Seneca, Missouri; ten grandchildren; two brothers, Roy Cochran and wife, Bobbie, of Seneca, Missouri and David Cochran and wife, Rose, of Parsons, Kansas; two sisters, Ann Cochran of Anderson, Missouri and Gail Cook of Salina, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Masonic and Military services for Mr. Cochran are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 6, 2009 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes. Burial will be in the Swars Prairie Cemetery near Seneca, Missouri. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Roy Cochran, Joe Hartzler, Cory Crain, Tyler Crain, Devin House and Lee Gullick.
