Arnold Lawrence Pruden of Temple died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005 at his home. He was 68.

He was born on Sept. 16, 1938 in Temple to Fred Leroy and Theo (McIntyre) Pruden.

Mr. Pruden served in the U.S. Army. He retired with Long & Wetzel Oil Company of Mount Pleasant as an operator in the oil fields. He was a member of the American Legion Post 404 in Harrison and a member of the 40 et 8 of Temple.

Survivors include his children, Glen and John Pruden, both of Temple, Rita Rincon of Harrison and Ronda Pruden of Clare; grandchildren, Heather Pruden, Mark II and Eric Neph and Anthony and Matthew Pruden; brothers, Clyde of Evart and Mike of Clare; sisters, June VanBuskirk of Gladwin, Sherry Snyder of Lake and Donna Hilden of Marion; niece, Linda (Paul) Miller of Temple; and many other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Services are 1 p.m. Monday at Redding Township Hall in Temple. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery, Temple.
