Duesenberg Rites at Flood Creek Church, Rockford
CHARLES CITY—Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Flood Creek Methodist Church for Mrs. Mabel Duesenberg, 53, who died at her farm home near Rockford Saturday night after a lengthy illness. The Rev. William Lane and F. J. Hoffman officiated and burial was in the Flood Creek Church Cemetery, with the Weaver Funeral Home of Rockford in charge. The daughter of Henry and Lydia Gelhaus Pfundheller, she was born in Ulster Township, Floyd County, on Feb. 3, 1903. She was married to Ervin Duesenberg Jan. 30, 1926. She attended Charles City High School and had lived in Rockford and vicinity nearly all her life. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Ray Stayner, Charles City; her mother, and four sisters, Mrs. Leone Schmidt and Mrs. Verne Aschenback, both of Rockford; Mrs. Alma Hovinga, Webb, and Esther, and two brothers, Elbert and Howard Pfundheller, all of Rockford, and four grandchildren.
