She was born June 2, 1944 in Wapella, Il. to Harold and Isabelle Swickard Short. She married Charles Brown in 1975 in Clinton. He survives.
Also surviving are one brother, Billy Dean (Kayla) Short, Wapella and two sisters, Marjorie Gregory, Clinton, and Cheri (Mark) Miller, Wapella. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
