Beman Brockway was born in 1815. Went as an apprentice in a printing office when fifteen years of age. He was in the newspaper business all his life. Editor of the Pulaski Democrat part of the year 1854. He once was one of the editors of the New York Tribune, and the last years of his life were spent in Watertown as one of the editors of the Watertown Times.
