LaVerne A. Hasenstein, age 88, a resident of Pine Haven Christian Home, died there Saturday evening, November 14, 2009.
LaVerne was born on June 18, 1921 in Sheboygan to Charles and Alma (Landwehr) Scheffler.
On January 19, 1946 she was united in marriage to Marvin E. Hasenstein at Zion Reformed Church. Marvin preceded her in death on March 31, 1993.
Survivors include a son and daughter, Tom (Sue) Hasenstein of Chandler, AZ and Marla (Michael) Meyer of Sheboygan Falls; four grandchildren, Michelle Meyer, Marc (Sara) Meyer, Tiffanie Hasenstein and Anthony Hasenstein; a great-granddaughter, Carsyn.
In addition to her husband Marvin, LaVerne was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Westcott and Edna Proulx; and a brother, Wilbur Scheffler.
Burial will take place in the Wildwood Cemetery.
