He had lived most of his life in Groves prior to moving to Silsbee five years ago.
He was a graduate of Lamar University and the owner of a retail sporting goods store.
Survivors include wife, Dianna Thomas Rodgers; son, Thomas Rodgers; daughter-in-law, Regan Romero; mother, Lillian Rodgers; aunt, Emma Jo Smith.
