MRS. MINNIE ETTA HARRIS
Mrs. Minnie Etta Harris, 84, died at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, at Morning Sun Manor, Morning Sun.
She was born January 15, 1882, in Mahaska County, the daughter of Joseph and Marjorie McMains Lockard; and had been a resident of Morning Sun and Wapello the past 60 years.
She married Edward Hunt in 1901. She later married George B. Harris, Jan. 23, 1907, in Morning Sun.
Survivors include three sons, Victor Hunt, Wapello, William Ross Harris, Wapello, and Walter Haris, Wapello; two daughters, Mrs. Glennie Willits, Wapello and Mrs. Dorothy Taylor, Los Angeles; one-stepdaughter, Mrs. Ola Kilpatrick, Mediapolis, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Daisy Grace, Oskaloosa; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George B. Harris, November, 1935; one son, Joseph; two sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services for Mrs. Harris will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. Rev. Robert Dodder of the Methodist church, Wapello, will officiate.
Burial will be in the Elmwood cemetery, Morning Sun.
