John J. Bartchy, 85, died suddenly this morning from a heart disease at the home of his son, Milo Bartchy, 1032 Market Ave S., Canton. Born in Canton, he had lived here the greater part of his life. He was a retired harness maker, a member of First Christian church and Rev. P. H. Welsheimer's Sunday school class.
His wife, the former Ida Stewart, died March 2, 1926.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. William (Ella) Stonebrook; three sons, Milo, Robert and Earl V. Bartchy of Canton; a sister, Mrs. Henry (Sue) Seitz of Bay Village, O.; 16 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
