J. B. Boren of Stigler, Oklahoma passed away November 16, 2009 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 83. He was born November 14, 1926 in McCurtain, Oklahoma to Thomas and Ella Mae (Hull) Boren. J.B. was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ella Mae (Hull) Boren; and two brothers, Clyde and Jean Boren. J. B. was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stigler. He served in the Army branch of the US military for 11 years and also served as District Commander of the American Legion. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Stigler with burial at Tamaha Cemetery in Tamaha, Okla.
