Georgie M. Hutyra, age 80, of West, passed away early Friday morning, August 14, 2020, at her residence in West, surrounded by her family.

A rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2020, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Masks and social distancing are required. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in West. A come-and-go visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home.

Georgie was born June 26, 1940, in West, the daughter of Joseph and Julie (Petter) Bajer. She attended the old Leggott School near West and was a 1958 graduate of West High School, prior to attending 4-C Business College in Waco.

On August 19, 1961, she was united in marriage to Raymond J. Hutyra in West. Raymond preceded her in death on December 19, 1990.

Georgie was a lifelong and very faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She was also a member of SPJST Lodge #54, Catholic Daughters of America Court #829, and KJT Society #11. She was a bookkeeper for West Bank and Trust, now PointWest Bank for 52 years before retiring in 2015.

Georgie enjoyed shopping, going to the beach, always being on the go, and her annual sister trips with Lillian. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and attending all their activities.

Georgie is also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Eugene Bajer Sr.; and three infant siblings.

Survivors include her children, Douglas Hutyra and wife Wendy of Justin, Gregory Hutyra and wife Mimi of Grapevine, Mark Hutyra and wife Amy of West, Stephen Hutyra and wife Staci of North Richland Hills, Donna Sepeda and husband Joe of West, Debbie Scott and husband Travis of West, and David Hutyra and wife Roxane of Spring; her grandchildren, Hayleigh, Dillon, Tanner, Conner, Claire, Katie, Natalie, Libby, Parker, Justin, Magen, Erin, Trevor, Callie, Jenna, and Emma; a very special great grandson, Milo; a brother, John Bajer and wife Jeannie; a sister, Lillian Flood and husband Tom; sisters-in-law, Carol Bajer, Doris Hutyra, and Dorothy Podsednik; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Active pallbearers are Dillon Hutyra, Tanner Hutyra, Conner Hutyra, Justin Sepeda, Trevor Scott, and Parker Hutyra. Honorary pallbearers are past and present employees of PointWest Bank.
