The Late Mrs. Betzer.
Rebecca Betzer was born in Northumberland county, in the State of Pennsylvania, April 8, 1809, and at the age of 13 years she with her parents emigrated to Ross county, Ohio, and on the 2d day of March, 1828, she was married to Benjamin Betzer, and moved to Pickaway co., Ohio, and lived there until the fall of 1841, when they moved to Macon county, Illinois, and settled on the farm where she resided until her death Aug. 21, 1883. She was the mother of nine children, six of whom are now living. She became a member of the Methodist church in 1836 in Ohio, and in 1858 she joined the Christian church at Newburg, Macon county, Ill. At her death she was 74 years, four months and 13 days old. Six great grandchildren are among her descendants.
