Sarah Munsel Gill was the daughter of Sam and Lura Munsel. She married Bon Gill on September 20, 1947, at Hiawatha, Kansas. She was survived by her husband, a daughter, two sons, her mother, six sisters and three brothers.

Sarah was a member of the Muscotah Congregational Church, a charter member of the Muscotah Study Club, a member of the Order of Eastern Star, township representative of 4-H on the County Extension Council, and served as community leader of the Rose Valley Rustlers 4-H Club and as a member of the Rose Valley School Board.
