Martha Ellen Harshman Rothenhoefer was a daughter of Samuel and Barbara Neff Harshman and was the wife of Charles Henry Rothenhoefer who predeceased her on August 17, 1946.

She is survived by three sons, Martin C. Rothenhoefer, and Roger B. Rothenhoefer, both of Frederick, Charles E. Rothenhoefer, Aspen, Pennsyvania and three daughters, Mrs. Charles J. Doherty, Newark, New Jersey; Mrs. J.W. Barger, Brunswick and Mrs. Frank L. Spitzer, 301 West Potomac Street, Brunswick with whom Martha had resided at the time of her death.

Martha is survived by 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Charles Alexander, Boonsboro; John F. Harshman, Burkittsville; Charles E. Harshman, Myersville and Mrs. Charles M. Yinger, Frederick.

The body is at the home of Mrs. Spitzer, daughter of the deceased where friends and relatives may visit with a brief service there at 1pm and further services at the Little Church On The Hill, Lewistown with the Rev. Ralph Miller officiating and internment being made in the adjoining Cemetery by C.H. Feete and Brother funeral directors.
