Mr. Albert Flemming, who lived a few miles north of town, died Friday, July 2nd, of apoplexy. Mr. Flemming was born in Dakalb, St. Lawrence County, NY, in 1835. In 1855 he went to Dodge County, Wisconsin, where he was married to Miss Pricilla[sic] Moon the following year. In 1858 he moved his family to Garden City, where they lived until 1861, when they moved onto the farm which has been their home for nearly fifty years. Mr. Flemming leaves an aged wife and nine children, all of whom attended the funeral, with the exception of his oldest daughter, who is in Australia, and Mrs. Minnie Pike of Long Beach Cal. The funeral was largely attended. Interment took place in the cemetery at Garden City.
