Hazel Cessna
Mrs. Hazel CESSNA, 85, formerly of 1417 Madison street, died at 8 a.m. today at the Rochester nursing home following a seven-year illness.
She was born May 20, 1893 in Fulton county to Frank and Julia CATES RUSH and had lived most of her life in this area. She was married Dec. 25, 1912 in Rochester to John L. CESSNA, who died Feb. 17, 1974. Mrs. Cessna had been a school teacher, was a graduate of Rochester college, a member of the Burton United Methodist church and a charter member of the Reiter Community club.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Devereux) [KELLEY], Rochester; a son, Eldon [CESSNA], Rochester; two grandchildren, Mrs. Carol CARTER, Nashville, Tenn., and David CESSNA, Fort Collins, Col., and seven great-grandchildren. A grandson, three sisters and two brothers preceded in death.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. sunday at the Foster & Good funeral home with the Rev. Terry SHOEMAKER officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery, Rochester. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Saturday, and on Sunday until time of service.
