Otto R. Beery
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Leiters Ford Methodist church for Otto Russell BEERY, 74, R.R. 4, Rochester, who died at Woodlawn hospital at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, a short time after being admitted there. Mr. Beery had been in failing health for the last four months.
Mr. Beery was born March 24, 1886, in the Burton community, to Franklin and Jennie CONNER BEERY. He spent most of his life in the Burton community. He was married June 22, 1907, in Burton, to Carrie TYLER BEERY, who survives.
Mr. Beery was a member of the Leiters Ford Methodist church and the F. and A.M. Tipton lodge No. 33, Logansport, of which he had been a member nearly 50 years. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Retired Army officers in Washington, D.C.
Surviving along with the widow are one daughter, Mrs. Norman (Charlotte) HALL, Fanwood, N.J.; one son, Wayne BEERY, R.R. 4, Rochester; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. One daughter, two brothers and the parents preceded him in death.
The Rev. Theodore ROBERTS will officiate at the services, and burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. cemetery.
The Rochester F. and A.M. lodge also will conduct rites for Mr. Beery.
Friends may call at the Foster & Good funeral home after 7 p.m. today until noon Wednesday and at the church one hour prior to services.
