Neva Grinde
Neva Leona Grinde, 87, of Lake City died Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at the Lake City Nursing Home.
Neva was born February 5, 1916 in Westfield, Wis. to Herman & Winnie (Raymond) Miller. She graduated from Westfield High School in 1934. She then married Sidney Grinde August 19, 1940 in Dubuque, Iowa
After they were married they lived in Morrisonville, Wis. for many years. They also lived in several communities in the area. She worked as the clerk for the Morrisonville School system. She was a former member of the United in Christ Church in Morrisonville and also a member of the church ladies aid. She also taught Sunday School, sang in the church choir and volunteered at the Colonial Club in Sun Prairie, Wis. They moved to Lake City in August of 1997. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lake City and she also enjoyed cooking and serving.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Patricia (David) Niebuhr of Lake City, Minn., and Nancy Was de Czege of Rochester, NY; one granddaughter; one step-grandson; one sister, Gladys McCuland of Edgerton, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews. One siter, two brothers and one step-granddaughter preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 27 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Lake City with the Rev. Lyle Krumrie officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be Friday one hour before the service at the church. Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City is in charge of arrangements.
