He was born November 8, 1932, in Roy, Utah to Joseph and Antonette Serricchio Battistone.
On January 9, 1959, Franklin married Gloria Jeanette Johnson in Kanesville, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple on June 20, 1975. Gloria preceded him in death on December 8, 2006.
He was a member of the West Haven Ward.
He loved farming, coaching kids, and especially spending time with his grandkids.
Franklin is survived by a son, Frank "Nick" (Tonie) Battistone, Jr., Clinton; three daughters, DeAnn (Larry) Neil, Roy; Shellie Bubert, Roy; Gwenda (Kevin) Toone, West Haven; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Michael Battistone; and a sister, Elizabeth Green.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, and a sister.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South, with Bishop William Snarr, officiating. Friends and family may call on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment: Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Boulevard.
