A native of Illinois, he was the son of the late George E. and Gladys Bellinger.
His beloved wife, Barbara, and grandson, Brandon, also predeceased him.
Mr. Bellinger served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the American Legion. He loved hunting and was an avid fisherman, especially enjoying fishing with Matthew in the Florida Keys. Mr. Bellinger was a great man, a greater father and a wonderful grandfather.
He is survived by his sons, Jeff and Tim Bellinger of Dawsonville, Matthew (Ana) Bellinger of Islamorada, Fla.; daughters, Georgann Lord of Alpharetta, Jennifer Blake of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister, Marylu Lyman of Decatur, Ill.; brother, Jack (Patricia) Bellinger of Paris, Ill.; grandchildren, Timothy, Jason, Justine, Jay, Megan and Forrest; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Brook, Beau, Johnathan, Addison and Jace.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6, in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
