She lived in Seminole and Commerce before settling in OKC, where she had lived for the past 35 years. She married Ken Brantley in 1943 and raised four children. She was a bookkeeper at Pucketts until retiring in 1989. She was famous throughout her family for her wonderful stories and endless imagination. We will miss her quick mind, determined spirit, love and devotion to her family. She wrote, "I looked at the people around me, they were people I loved, people I would die for. I saw their dreams and I saw their hurts, they did not know how I hurt for them, how I prayed for them. Looking at them, I did not see evil, I saw good. " We love you always, Granny Y. You are very special.
She is survived by her husband and friend, Ken Brantley; 3 sons, Mike and Joy Brantley, and Tim Brantley of OKC, Harry and Cyndy Brantley of Co.; one daughter, Kathy and Tony Johnson of Wellston; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Anne Wiggins of OKC and Gladys Gatz of Tulsa; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers; and one son-in-law.
Services will be at Capitol Hill Funeral Home on Saturday, January 7, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. Burial, 1:00 p.m. in Maple Grove Cemetery, Seminole.
