Born in Toledo, Ohio on July 11, 1967, he was the son of Henry Lohmeyer and Barbara Collins Lohmeyer.
He was a 1985 graduate of St. Francis DeSales High School in Toledo and graduated from Heidelberg College in 1989 with a B. Ed. degree.
After teaching a few years, he worked in the mortgage industry for various firms in the Toledo area and in California, and also was self-employed in the home-remodeling business.
During his high school and college careers, he was a varsity lineman for both St. Francis and Heidelberg, was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Football fan, and loved reading, bowling, and golf.
He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
David is survived by his wife, Melanie (Combs) Lohmeyer of Waterville, OH; his four children, Jaxson, Aiden, and Quinn, all of Waterville, Ohio, and Kaelynn Lohmeyer of Toledo, OH; his father, Henry Lohmeyer of Toledo, OH; his brother, Brandon (Samantha) Lohmeyer of Toledo, OH; his sisters, Pamela (Roy) Jennings of Louisville, TN and Debbie Burch of Temperance, MI; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
His mother, Barbara, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 2 - 5 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, in The Wells Funeral Home, Waterville, Ohio. Services and burial will be private.
The family suggests that tributes take the form of contributions to Community Tissue Services or to the Lohmeyer Children's Christmas Fund.
