EDINBURG — Frank Barfield Waters, 62, an Edinburg resident since 1939, died early Saturday morning at his home at 1013 S. 10th St. Mr. Waters lived in the Weslaco area from 1925 to 1939 prior to moving here. Prior to his retirement two years ago, he had been employed as supervisor of all Hidalgo County offices of the Texas Employment Commission for a period of six years. He was a member of the Hidalgo County Water Board, and prior to retirement was appointed War Manpower Director of all Valley counties. After his retirement from the TEC, he was active as a farmer and nurseryman. He was a member of Edinburg First Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nell Glenn Waters; a brother, Newell Waters of Weslaco, and two grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Highland Memorial Park under direction of Skinner Mortuary, Edinburg, with the Rev. Walter M. Feay officiating.
