WILKERSON RITES SET SATURDAY
Earl Wilkerson, 78, Wright City, died Thursday at St. Michael Hospital, Texarkana.
Born Aug. 11, 1912, he had lived most of his life here, moving from Arkansas.
He married Shirley Ballard in 1953 at Ben, Ore. He was retired from the state Highway Department. He was a member of the Religion Assembly of God Church.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Wright City First Assembly Church. The Rev. Jimmy Smalling will officiate, and burial will be at Slater Memorial Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Wilkerson of the home; two sons, Bill Wilkerson, Marshall, Texas and Larry Wilkerson, Wright City; two daughters, Earlene White of Valliant and Elouise Farias, San Pablo, Cal.; two brothers, Houston Wilkerson, Millerton, and Ottis Wilkerson, Talihina; one sister, Myrtle Heffington, Jackson, Cal.; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
