Mr. Grimes was born April 22, 1943 in Clarksburg, W.V. to Theodore Roosevelt and Mamie Maxine (Boner) Grimes. He has been an Auburndale resident since 1972 coming from W.V. He was a retired Commercial Truck Driver, enjoyed fishing and yardwork. He was of the Methodist Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; 2 sisters and a stepson.
Thomas is survived by; Wife of 37 years: Gerri Grimes of Auburndale, FL; 1 Son: Joseph (Anna) Grimes of GA; 1 Step Daughter: Sherry Gardner of Auburndale, FL; 2 Sisters: Marie Merle (Ronald) Fulk of N.M, Patti (Vernon) Toothman of Mannington, W.V.; 7 Grandchildren: Randy, Dusty, Brandy, Sandy, Cody, Mandy and Crystal; 4 Great Grandchildren: Tyler, Parker, Kimberly and Randy.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at the Kersey Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Auburndale Memorial Park. Visitation will be held before services at the funeral home from 2:00 til 3:00 PM. Arrangements by Kersey Funeral Home, Auburndale, 967-1167.
