Etta Belle Harris, 83, Russell Springs, died Friday, July 7, 2000 at her residence.

She was born in Russell County April 27, 1917 to the late Nellie Mae Johnson Popplewell and Johnnie Popplewell.

She was a retired minister and homemaker and a member of the Russell Springs Church of God of Prophecy.

She was preceded in death by her husband Grady Harris.

She is survived by one daughter, Ann McGowan and her husband Ewell; one brother, Grant Popplewell and his wife Lorene of Russell Springs; one sister Virgie Zimmerman and her husband Hubert of Russell Springs; three grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Saturday, July 8, 2000, 11:30 a.m. at Popplewell Cemetery with Mike Popplewell officiating.

Burial was in Popplewell Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Lester Hite, Noah Hughes, Troy Wilson, Chad McGowan, Rhett McGowan and Arnold Wilson.

Bernard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangments.
