Obituary:

Mrs. Mamie Setzer, wife of David Setzer, answered the call of the Divine Redeemer at 8:15 o'clock, April 9th at the family home in Wabash township. She was born July 11, 1865, aged 59 years, 9 months and 2 days.

She is survived by the husband, two daughters, Mrs. Cora Bartrum and Mrs. Ruth Ferris, one son, Harry and seven grandchildren, all of Wabash township, two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Giebel of Terre Haute, and Mrs. John Welsh of Wabash township, and three brothers, Henry Stoelting of Centerpoint, Ind., Chas. Stoelting of Marshall and Chris Stoelting of Wabash township.

Mrs. Setzer was a member of the Methodist church for years, having joined in 1887 and has been a faithful and consistent helper in the manifold duties and exercises of that organization. She was ever ready with her gracious aid to succor the needy and help the unfortunate whether within the confines of her own church or wherever found.

To those who knew her best and loved her most, it is unnecessary to speak of her undaunted courage, but it is well as an appreciation, to recount that during her last long illness and acute suffering, she worried more over the care and troubles her ailments exacted from her friends and loved ones than she did over the agony produced by her disease.

Funeral services conducted by Rev. D. T. Black assisted by Rev. R. F. Purdue were held at Dunlap chapel and her remains were laid to rest in the Dunlap cemetery to await that great resurrection morning where we hope to all meet again. A large concourse of relatives and friends were in attendance to pay their last tribute of respect and the many floral offerings were beautiful.
