Patricia Rose (Patsy) Bunnell, 64 of Centerville, Iowa, died Friday, November 27, 2009 at her home in the loving care of her family.

She was born the daughter of James William and Evelyn Vance Daily on August 13, 1945, in rural Putnam county, Missouri. She graduated from Unionville High School in 1963.
On September 6, 1963, Patsy was united in marriage to Jimmy Lawrence (Jim) Bunnell in Lemons, Missouri, and they made their home in Centerville. She worked as the secretary of the First United Methodist Church and then was a stay-at-home mom as her family grew. In 1974, Patsy became a dispatcher at the Law Center, and in 1980, she began work as a secretary at Indian Hills Community College, retiring in January 2004 as the Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the Centerville Campus. In 1999, Patsy was honored by her co-workers when she was unanimously chosen to receive the IHCC Foundation Outstanding Service Award.
Patsy was an avid genealogist and spent enjoyable hours with her mother, sister and friends researching and documenting the branches of the Bunnell and Daily family trees. She researched and published a book about the Pennville Cemetery in Sullivan County, Missouri. Patsy had many interests and enjoyed sharing her time and talents with her friends. She most especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Her most treasured possessions were her family heirlooms and her Garfield collection. Patsy was a follower of Jesus and was blessed by the peace and assurance of His Word.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Twila Jean Daily, who died as a infant, and Leona Caroline Daily McKay who passed away in 2001.
Patsy is survived by her husband, Jim Bunnell, of Centerville, Iowa; her sons, Ricky Lawrence Bunnell (Susan) of Centerville, Iowa, Rusty Eugene Bunnell (Kim) of Des Moines, Iowa, and Randy Duane Bunnell (Carol) of Blakesburg, Iowa; her daughter, Regena Marie Bunnell Bullard (Lannon) of Jefferson City, Missouri; her grandchildren, Ross Merritt (Elizabeth), Natalie and Juliana Bunnell, Nicholas Bunnell, Jessyca and Jacob Bunnell, and Joshua, Justin, and Layneigh Bullard; her great-grandchildren, John and Erin Merritt, her nephew, Michael McKay; her niece, Michelle McKay Valentine (Jason); and her great-niece and -nephew, Jacey and Ryan Valentine.
