Rev. W H. Hodge graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1857, and four years later he completed his preparation for the ministry at Princeton Theological Seminary. He was ordained January 5, 1964, by the Presbytery of Philadelphia Central. After four years as pastor of the Red Mills, N.Y., Presbyterian Church, he came to the McDowell Memorial Church in Philadelphia at the beginning of 1869.
