Bill McAlpin
POCAHONTAS --- Services for Bill McAlpin, 74, will be at 3 p.m. today at Oak Grove Methodist Church with the Rev. Foy Huckabee officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Home of Selmer in charge.
Mr. McAlpin, a retired operator at Tennessee Gas Transmission Co., died Saturday at Jackson-Memorial County General Hospital after a long illness.
He was a Methodist.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mae McAlpin; three sons, Thomas McAlpin of Jackson, and Bobby McAlpin and Danny Morris McAlpin, both of Pocahontas; a sister, Mrs. Joe Coleman of Jackson; a brother, Eric McAlpin of Middleton; and four grandchildren.
