Mr. Templon retired as crew foreman from Pennsylvania Electric Co. in 1957 after 36 years service. He was born Oct. 9, 1892, in Taylor Township, a son of David J. and Anna F. (Ray) Templon, and married Margaret E. Funk, who died July 11, 1971.
Surviving are two sons, Foster H. of Oxon Hill, Md., and Melvin P. of Altoona; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a sister and brother, Mrs. Millie Horner of Hollidaysburg and David J. Jr. of Duncansville.

Foster Howard Templon, 81, Fort Washington, MD, died Friday, August 6, 1999,at VA Medical Center, Washington DC. He was born June 25, 1918, in Altoona,the son of Walter M. and Margaret E. (Funk) Templon. He married Patricia J.Stewart. Mr. Templon was a member of Grace Brethren Church, Clinton, MD. He was an engineer with Greater South East Community Hospital, Washington DC.
Mr. Templon was a 1937 graduate of Altoona High School. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, from 1939-46. Mr. Templon earned the Good Conduct Medal, the Distinguished Unit badge with two Oak Leaf clusters,the American Defense Campaign medal, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign medal, theWorld War II Victory Medal and Philippines Defense Medal. He enjoyed fishing,gardening and his prisoners-of-war group. Mr. Templon was a member of the American Legion. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, April S. Jackson of Oxon Hill, MD; two sons, Michael P. of NY City and Timothy R. of Morningside, MD;a brother, Melvin of Altoona; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grand children.
